Absolutely thrilled to join the iconic publisher, Penguin, this Islamophobia Awareness Month!
As an organisation which cares deeply about representation and meaningful dialogue, this session means a great deal. Here’s to storytelling, education, and using our platforms, to build a more inclusive future.
Shining a spotlight on the power of stories to break down barriers and combat prejudice is deeply powerful. Books have the ability to transform ideas and shape characters that go beyond tropes and stereotypes.
Penguin’s “Lit in Colour” campaign is a brilliant example of just that, and AIWG would love to see more Muslim authors spotlighted!
I'm grateful to Penguin and its Muslim Network for their commitment to elevating these conversations and for engaging so thoughtfully with this important issue.
Looking forward to continuing the work of building safer, more informed, and more equitable spaces for all.
